The SWB team includes a group of junior doctors who contribute to the SWB program in a number of ways. This includes teaching medical and clinical officer students based at the Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre, Malawi. Junior doctors coordinate SWB’s program for University of Malawi medical and clinical officer students, working alongside SWB’s consultants, nurses and medical students to carry out predominantly workshop style program. Topics covered include basic life support, effective communication, basic pathology and suturing skills. This program is a highlight for the whole SWB team, with the workshop-style format being especially interactive and program participants being very engaged with the program content.
