Yang was one of the medical students selected to join the team on the 2015 trip.
He had the following to say about his experience
I volunteered with SWB because I believe that medical education programs that support furthering the education and skills of local doctors, nurses and students are more beneficial, far-reaching and sustainable to the local community than direct assistance alone. This was really highlighted to me as we were going through the positive feedback from the local attendees and reading about how the seminars have changed their future practice. It gave me a sense of satisfaction knowing that the local community and future health professionals were going to benefit from their newly acquired knowledge.
