Whilst all the specialists involved in the training seminars fund their own flights to and accommodation for workshops, general donations are invaluable to the work of SWB.
Each seminar costs the organisation in the region of AUS $20,000 to run, the majority of which covers the registration fees for developing country doctors, to enable them to attend for free. Other costs include training materials, publicity literature and seminar audio-visual requirements.
Specific donations can also be made to fund a developing country doctor to attend a seminar, to sponsor an Australian medical student to be involved in a seminar, to contribute towards our building fund, or to purchase much-needed textbooks and resources for a medical school library in a developing country.
Please look at our donations page for more information on how you can help SWB’s work through a donation.
